French Provincial · Cast Brass · Central Crystal Drop · 6+1 or 8+1 Configurations
A French Provincial brass chandelier built around a central pear-shaped crystal pendant suspended within a slender brass cage frame. Six or eight outer candelabra arms curve outward from the cast-brass ring, each holding a flame-tip socket above a scrolled bobeche, while the central crystal drop houses an additional bulb that illuminates the whole crystal from within.
Suited to formal dining rooms, grand foyers, and traditional living rooms in French Provincial, neoclassical, or classical interiors. Available in two sizes — six-arm for standard dining rooms, eight-arm for grand entrance halls or larger formal spaces.
Features
Central Crystal Drop
Pear-shaped clear crystal pendant houses an additional bulb — illuminates from within.
Cast Brass Cage Frame
Slender brass arms curve outward from a scrolled cast-brass ring — neoclassical proportions.
Two Sizes
6+1 arm (65 cm) for traditional dining · 8+1 arm (85 cm) for grand foyers and formal halls.
Finish
Cast Brass with Clear Crystal
Hand-finished cast brass with warm patina across all arms, ring, and central cage, paired with a single clear pear-shaped crystal pendant at the center. Pairs with cream walls, gilt-frame artwork, French Provincial and traditional interiors. The brass develops subtle patina over years of use.

Heavy fixture — confirm junction box rating. Cast brass with a central crystal drop makes this a substantial chandelier, particularly the 8+1 version. Confirm with a licensed electrician that your ceiling junction box and structural support are rated for the load before installation. Standard residential boxes typically support up to 50 lb; for heavier installations a fan-rated or reinforced box may be required.

FAQ
What does "6+1" or "8+1" mean? +
The "+1" refers to the central crystal drop — it's an additional bulb housed inside the pear-shaped crystal pendant at the center of the fixture, separate from the outer candelabra arms. The 6+1 version has 6 outer candelabra arms plus 1 central crystal-drop bulb (7 sockets total). The 8+1 version has 8 outer arms plus 1 central drop (9 sockets total). The central drop illuminates the crystal from within, adding a glowing focal point beyond the arm candles.
Which size suits my room? +
The 6+1 (65 cm wide) is for standard dining rooms (8-10 ft tables) and traditional living rooms with 9 ft+ ceilings. The 8+1 (85 cm wide) is a statement piece scaled to grand foyers, double-height entrance halls, or formal dining rooms with 12-person+ tables and 10 ft+ ceilings.
What bulb does it take? +
Each socket takes one E12 (North America) or E14 (EU/UK/AU) candelabra base bulb up to 25W. We recommend warm white (3000K) LED candelabra bulbs. For the outer arms, flame-tip shape gives the most period-appropriate look. For the central crystal drop, a small clear globe or candelabra bulb works best — flame-tip is also fine. Bulbs not included.
Is the crystal real or glass? +
The central pendant is cut crystal — high-quality faceted and polished glass crystal that refracts light to produce the prismatic glow effect. This is decorative crystal suited to the fixture's price and finish, not natural rock crystal (which would be many times the cost). The cut pattern and refraction quality are well-engineered for the visual effect.
Will it work on a sloped ceiling? +
The standard mount is for flat ceilings using the included chain-and-canopy assembly. For sloped ceilings, a sloped-ceiling adapter is typically needed (sold separately by hardware suppliers). The chain-suspended structure adapts well to moderate slopes once an adapter is installed.
Is it dimmable? +
The fixture itself doesn't dim, but it becomes fully dimmable when paired with dimmable LED candelabra bulbs and a standard TRIAC wall dimmer (both sold separately). Dimming this style of chandelier creates a particularly atmospheric effect — the crystal continues to refract light beautifully even at 30-40% brightness.
