Spanish Alabaster · Solid Brass · Multi-Tier Herringbone

A multi-tier statement chandelier in the language of contemporary Mediterranean lighting — overlapping Spanish alabaster panels arrange in a herringbone pattern across two cascading rings, suspended on a cast brass frame and chain. Each panel is hand-cut from a fresh block, finished smooth, and pinned individually to the brass armature.

Quarried in Aragón, Spain, the alabaster diffuses warm light through its translucent grain — each panel carrying unique cloud-like veining no two pieces share. The herringbone arrangement scatters the glow asymmetrically, casting overlapping pools onto the ceiling and walls. Available in 9-head or 16-head configurations, suiting dining rooms, hallways, primary bedrooms, and living rooms in modern Mediterranean, coastal, and contemporary interiors.

Spanish Alabaster Panels

Each panel hand-cut from a single block of Aragón alabaster — unique veining in every piece.

Herringbone Arrangement

Overlapping panels in a two-tier herringbone pattern scatter light asymmetrically.

Solid Brass Frame

Cast brass armature in a satin finish anchors the panels and the hanging chain.

9 Heads · ∅ 23.6″

D 60 × H 37 cm. Scaled for dining rooms, hallways, and bedrooms of 12–18 m² (130–195 ft²).

16 Heads · ∅ 31.5″

D 80 × H 52 cm. Scaled for grand dining rooms, foyers, and living rooms of 18–28 m² (195–300 ft²).

Hand-cut natural Spanish alabaster. Each panel is cut and polished from a single block of Aragón alabaster — natural cloud veining, color depth, and translucency vary piece to piece. Within a single chandelier, the panels are matched in tone but the herringbone pattern celebrates the natural variation. This is part of the material's character, not a flaw.

  • Hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box — professional installation recommended.
  • Hanging chain supplied at 30 cm (12″); chain length can be adjusted by your electrician.
  • Each alabaster panel is pinned individually — handle by the brass armature, not the panels, during hoist.
  • Fits E12 (US) or E14 (EU) candelabra-base bulbs — supply your own warm-white LED candle bulbs (one per head).
  • Verify clearance: 30–36″ above dining table, or 7 ft minimum from finished floor in walkways.
  • Indoor only · clean alabaster panels with a soft dry cloth; avoid solvents and abrasives.

Which size suits my room? +

The 9-head (∅ 23.6″) suits dining rooms, hallways, and primary bedrooms of 12–18 m² (130–195 ft²) seating up to 6 at a dining table. The 16-head (∅ 31.5″) suits grand dining rooms, foyers, and living rooms of 18–28 m² (195–300 ft²) — a substantial statement piece for spaces with 9 ft+ ceilings.

Why does each panel look slightly different? +

The alabaster is quarried in Aragón, Spain and hand-cut from fresh blocks. The cloud-like veining, color depth, and translucency are properties of the natural stone — no two panels are identical. Within a single chandelier, panels are matched in tone but the herringbone arrangement deliberately celebrates the natural variation rather than masking it.

Is the Elba dimmable? +

Yes, with the right bulb. Each head takes an E12 (US) or E14 (EU) candelabra-base bulb. Install dimmable LED candle bulbs on a TRIAC wall dimmer and the chandelier dims smoothly. Warm white 2700K–3000K is recommended to flatter the alabaster.

What's the herringbone pattern about? +

The alabaster panels overlap in a two-tier herringbone arrangement — angled rows where each panel's edge meets the next at offset diagonals. Light passes between the gaps and through the stone itself, creating an asymmetric scatter rather than the symmetric drop of a typical crystal chandelier. The effect is softer and more textile in feel.

What bulbs does it take? +

E12 (US) or E14 (EU) candelabra-base bulbs — nine on the 9-head version, sixteen on the 16-head. We recommend warm-white 2700K–3000K LED candle bulbs at 40W incandescent equivalent each for a soft, residential glow that flatters the natural Spanish alabaster.
