For symmetrical pairs, mount one Left-Facing and one Right-Facing twin at the same height, equally spaced from your central feature (mirror centre, bed centre, fireplace centre).
Recommended height: at eye level (≈ 150 cm / 60″ from floor) for general accent use; 80–100 cm above bedside for reading sconces.

What is the difference between Left-Facing and Right-Facing? +
The twin (2-head) version has a wavy arm that sweeps in one direction. Left-Facing means the arm sweeps toward the left and is best mounted on the right side of a feature (so the curve flows toward the centre). Right-Facing mirrors this — sweeps right, mounts on the left. For a single sconce, choose whichever direction balances your wall composition.
Can I order one Left and one Right to make a pair? +
Yes — that's the most common configuration for the twin version. Add one Left-Facing and one Right-Facing to your cart at checkout. They mirror each other to create perfect symmetry on either side of a bed, vanity mirror, fireplace, or hallway feature wall.
Is the shade colour an option? +

Which bulb do you recommend? +
A warm white (2700K) LED bulb in E26 or E27 base, at 4–6W. A frosted or globe-style bulb gives the softest light through the white fabric shade. Avoid clear bulbs with sharp filaments — they may show too prominently behind the diffuser.
Is the lamp dimmable? +
Yes — paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer (e.g. Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora), the Magdalene dims smoothly. The fixture itself has no built-in dimmer.
How do I care for the fabric shade? +
Gently dust the fabric shade with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. Avoid moisture, spot-cleaning sprays, or wet wiping — these may stain or weaken the fabric. Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent yellowing over time.
