Round Marble Backplate · Central Glass Orb · Natural Stone
A wall sconce composed of two simple shapes — a perfectly round natural-stone backplate
and a frosted glass orb set at its center. The geometry is deliberately quiet, letting
the veining of the stone do the visual work. Each backplate is hand-cut from genuine
marble, polished to a smooth surface, and finished as a clean circular disc.
The frosted glass orb diffuses the bulb into a soft glow that washes the stone surface
behind it, picking out the veining and tonal variation in the marble. Every piece is
unique — the photograph shows representative examples rather than the exact slab you
will receive.

backplate is hand-cut from a unique slab, no two are alike. After you order, we'll
email you photos of the slabs we currently have available so you can choose your
specific piece before we ship.

- Reply with your preferred piece. We then begin final preparation and ship.
If you have a preference (lighter, darker, more or less veining), please leave a
note at checkout and we'll prioritize matches.
Each piece is unique. Because the backplate is cut from natural marble,
veining patterns, color intensity, and grain direction will vary between pieces.
That singularity is the entire point of natural stone, not a defect — your sconce
will share the same overall character as the photographs but the specific markings
will be one-of-a-kind.

No — the backplate is cut from natural stone, so each piece has its own unique
veining pattern, color intensity, and grain direction. Yours will share the same
overall character as the photographs but the specific markings will be one-of-a-kind.
To minimize surprise, we send photos of the actual available slabs after you order
so you can choose your specific piece.
What bulb does it take? +
One G9 LED bulb (not included). G9 is a small bi-pin base, common in compact
decorative fixtures and widely available at lighting suppliers. We recommend a
dimmable G9 LED up to 5W in warm white (3000K) for the best soft-glow effect through
the frosted glass orb.
Can I order it as a pair? +
Yes — this sconce is often installed in pairs flanking a bed, mirror, or doorway.
Just order two units. Note that because the natural stones vary between pieces, a
pair will share the same overall character but won't be perfectly matched — for
closer matching, leave a note at checkout requesting coordinated slabs and we'll
prioritize them when sending you the slab photos.
Can I install it in a bathroom? +
Yes — this lamp is well-suited to bathroom walls, particularly flanking a vanity
mirror. Because the backplate is natural porous stone, we recommend installing it
away from direct shower spray or steam concentration — not directly above a tub or
inside a wet zone. Standard ventilation and normal bathroom humidity are not a
concern.
